Langside College

Langside College is an educational campus in Glasgow with modern facilities for sports, music, and theater spread across several buildings on Prospecthill Road. The site offers specialized spaces and resources for different areas of study at a central location in South Glasgow.

The college was founded in 1947 and occupied a listed building from 1868 that originally served as Glasgow's Deaf and Dumb Institution. This historical use shaped the site's long-term role in the community.

The institution merged with Anniesland College and Cardonald College in 2013 to establish Glasgow Clyde College, expanding educational opportunities in South Glasgow.

The campus is close to Mount Florida railway station and well served by multiple bus routes along Battlefield Road and Cathcart Road. Visitors find good transport links and straightforward orientation around the site and neighborhood.

The original main building was converted into residential apartments called Chroma House while keeping its listed status. This transformation shows how historic structures in the city found new purposes while their architectural importance remained intact.
