Motspur Park, Residential suburb in south-west London, England

Motspur Park is a residential suburb in south-west London that spans two boroughs, combining family neighborhoods with shops, restaurants, and leisure facilities. The area has tree-lined streets, green spaces for recreation, and community buildings that serve the everyday needs of local residents.

The area gets its name from the Mot family, who owned farmland here from the 14th century onwards, with the place name evolving from Motes Firs through Motts Spur Farm to its current form. The railway station opened in 1925, transforming the locality from countryside into a suburban residential community.

The University of London athletics ground witnessed Sydney Wooderson setting the world mile record in 1938 before becoming Fulham Football Club's training facility.

The railway station provides regular connections to central London, making the area easy to reach for both visitors and residents. The flat terrain and good walking paths throughout the area make it comfortable to explore shops, restaurants, and parks on foot.

East of Beverley Brook sits the Sir Joseph Hood memorial playing field, offering public sports facilities, a nature area, and a pavilion with a café. Most visitors overlook this spot, yet it provides a quiet escape for locals to exercise or spend time in nature.
