Mottram Hall

Mottram Hall is a Georgian country house set within 270 acres of parkland and gardens that form its estate. The building features white walls and symmetrical window arrangements across its principal facades.

The building dates to the 18th century as a private residence. It was converted into a luxury hotel around 1940 and has operated as an accommodation establishment since then.

The interior displays traditional English architectural details with ornate plasterwork ceilings, period fireplaces, and wood-paneled walls throughout public rooms. These elements create a sense of classical English style that visitors encounter as they move through the spaces.

The hotel accommodates guests in 120 rooms and includes multiple dining options and a spa facility with an indoor swimming pool. A championship golf course and other leisure amenities are available on the grounds.

An 18th-century ice house survives in the grounds, once used to store frozen food before modern refrigeration became available. This structure represents a method of food preservation that disappeared with technological advancement.
