The 13-hectare park stands on elevated ground, providing clear views of London landmarks including St Paul's Cathedral and The Shard from its pathways.
London County Council established the park in 1911 after acquiring 33 acres of land that was formerly part of the medieval Great North Wood.
The park maintains a Country Walk area where volunteers planted native British trees and plants across three acres of previously unused land.
Visitors can access multiple facilities including an outdoor gym, concrete sports pitch, skatepark, and designated children's play areas throughout the grounds.
The BMX riding section known as The Green Mile attracts Flatland BMX riders who practice their skills in this dedicated space.
