Nutbourne Windmill, 19th-century tower windmill in Pulborough, England
The five-story brick structure of Nutbourne Windmill stands with its beehive cap and four spring sails at the first-floor stage level.
Built in 1854, the windmill operated as a corn mill until 1894, utilizing two pairs of underdrift millstones for grain processing.
The Grade II listed building represents the industrial heritage of Sussex, showcasing traditional English milling engineering techniques of the Victorian era.
The mill tower now serves as a tasting room and shop for Nutbourne Vineyards, offering local wine products to visitors.
The windshaft remains vertically suspended at the tower top, supported only by stocks after the tail beam failed during its period of decline.
