The cruciform structure stretches 172 feet in length and features a central tower containing ten bells and numerous medieval monuments.
The church originated around 1070 as part of a Benedictine Priory established by Hamelin de Ballon, the first Norman Lord of Abergavenny.
The church preserves an exceptional collection of memorial effigies spanning from the 13th to 17th centuries, made from wood, alabaster, and marble.
The church welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and extends hours until 3:00 PM on Saturdays.
A remarkable 15th-century wooden Jesse carving depicts the lineage of Jesus Christ through intricate medieval craftsmanship.
