Sker House, Grade I listed building in Cornelly, Wales.

The yellow-painted stone mansion rises three stories high with two symmetrical turrets on its east wing and features multiple floors connected by staircases.

Originally constructed as a Cistercian monastic grange over 900 years ago, the structure underwent complete rebuilding in the late sixteenth century under Jenkin Turberville.

The building gained recognition through R.D. Blackmore's 1872 novel 'The Maid of Sker' and Ronald Welch's 1955 work 'Sker House'.

Visitors need to obtain permission and schedule appointments in advance as the property maintains restricted access due to its protected status.

The great hall spans two floors in the central section, demonstrating architectural features typical of significant Elizabethan houses in South Wales.
