Seaton Valley Countryside Park, Countryside park and nature reserve in Cornwall, United Kingdom.
Seaton Valley Countryside Park is a nature reserve situated in a steep wooded valley between two villages, featuring water bodies, grasslands, and woodland paths. The site covers around 54 hectares with varied habitats that support different wildlife throughout the year.
The site was formerly an abandoned caravan park before being transformed into a protected nature reserve in 1995. It opened to the public three years later and continues to be managed as a conservation area.
The park serves as a gathering place where visitors and locals walk through woodlands and pause by water features to watch wildlife. People often come here to escape nearby villages and experience open country without traveling far.
The site has a car park, toilets, and picnic tables for visitors to use. There are also children's play equipment, outdoor exercise stations, and trails of varying length so you can explore at your own pace.
The reserve supports populations of otters and kingfishers that visitors occasionally spot moving along the river corridors and wetland edges. These animals indicate the health of the ecosystem that has developed here.
