St Cuthbert's Church, Lytham, Grade II* listed Anglican church in Lytham, England.
St Cuthbert's Church in Lytham is an Anglican place of worship built in dark red brick with sandstone details and a western tower featuring diagonal buttresses. Inside, you find high stone arches, tall windows, and a spacious choir area that was added during a later renovation.
This church was built between 1834 and 1835, replacing an earlier building from 1770. During the 1870s, the choir area was enlarged by local architects, which shaped its present form.
The stained glass windows inside come from skilled craftspeople and show detailed artistic work. Walking through the church, you notice how light passes through these colored panes and creates patterns on the walls.
The church sits in central Lytham with ample space around the grounds for parking and walking. Regular services and events happen throughout the year, so calling ahead helps confirm opening times before your visit.
The churchyard holds an 18th century sundial with a Latin inscription reminding visitors about the passage of time. Nearby stand memorials to soldiers from the world wars, giving the grounds a quiet memorial purpose.
