St Luke's Church, Winmarleigh, Gothic Revival parish church in Winmarleigh, England.
St Luke's Church is a Gothic Revival parish church in Winmarleigh, England, built with sandstone rubble walls and topped with red tile roofing. A wooden bell-cote stands between the nave and chancel sections.
The building was completed in 1876 by the architectural firm Sharpe, Paley and Austin. A northern aisle was added later in 1887, extending the original structure.
The church is named after the Evangelist Luke. In the churchyard stands a white marble mausoleum from 1927 dedicated to the Reddaway family of Winmarleigh Hall, featuring a kneeling figure.
The church sits on Church Lane and serves as an active parish church for the Church of England. Visitors should note that it is a Grade II listed building, meaning it receives heritage protection and must be approached respectfully.
The interior contains extensive stencil decorations throughout the crossing and chancel areas, though water damage has affected some of the artwork over time. These painted designs offer a glimpse into how the building was originally adorned.
