The Jephson Gardens

The site began as farmland in the 1830s but was soon transformed into a public garden. The name honors a local doctor whose work made the town known during the 1800s.

The garden takes its name from a doctor who promoted the healing properties of local spring water during the 1800s. Throughout the space, visitors can notice how this spa heritage has shaped the way the place is organized and used.

The park opens daily with extended hours during brighter months and shorter hours in winter. Visitors can follow well-defined paths that lead through different sections, making it easy to explore the entire space.

A heated glasshouse on the grounds holds tropical plants and features an observation beehive and goldfish pond inside. This small structure is an overlooked spot that many visitors miss while walking through the main gardens.
