Tucktonia, Miniature park in Christchurch, Dorset, United Kingdom.
Tucktonia was a four-acre park in Christchurch, Dorset that displayed over 200 detailed models of British landmarks at 1:24 scale. The park also featured miniature railways, bumper boats, go-karts, a six-lane slide, mini-golf courses, and an amusement arcade on its grounds.
The park was founded in 1976 by former racing champion Harry Stiller, transforming the former Tuckton Golf School site. It operated for ten years until 1986 when it eventually closed.
The park served as a filming location for the 1985 movie Lifeforce and hosted live broadcasts of the BBC television program Multi-Coloured Swap Shop. This connection to broadcast history made it a notable destination for visitors interested in seeing media productions firsthand.
The grounds were sprawling and required comfortable footwear to explore the various attractions spread across the four acres. Visitors could combine many activities in a single day since all areas within the park were easily accessible.
The park's narrow gauge steam train found a new home at Moors Valley Railway after closure. The Buckingham Palace model was later relocated to Merrivale Model Village where it can still be seen today.
