Thursford Collection, Steam engine museum in Thursford, England
The Thursford Collection displays the largest assembly of steam engines and organs in the world, along with vintage fairground rides and mechanical music instruments.
George Cushing established this collection in 1970, transforming his childhood interest in steam engines and fairground machinery into an educational institution.
Theatre organist Robert Wolfe performs daily concerts on the Wurlitzer organ, continuing the tradition of mechanical music entertainment from the early 20th century.
The museum charges £9 for adult admission, offers free entry to children under 12, and provides separate pricing for individual fairground rides at £3 each.
Every winter, 250,000 people attend the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, which features 130 performers in a production of seasonal music and dance.
