Whitecleuch Chain, Ancient choker in the United Kingdom
The Whitecleuch Chain is a Pictish silver chain dating from around 400 to 800 AD.
It was discovered in a field at Whitecleuch, South Lanarkshire, in 1869.
Believed to signify high social status within Pictish society.
Now housed in the National Museum of Scotland.
One of only ten surviving Pictish chains.
