Wren Library, Library building at Trinity College, Cambridge, England
The Wren Library spans across a columned ground floor, featuring tall windows that fill the vast reading room with natural light throughout the day.
Christopher Wren designed this library in 1676 at the request of Trinity College rector Isaac Barrow, completing its construction in 1695 without accepting payment.
The collection contains medieval manuscripts, early printed books, and notable works including Newton's annotated Principia and William Caxton's first English printed book.
Visitors can access the library Monday through Friday between 12:00 and 14:00, entering through Brewhouse Gate at the end of Garret Hostel Lane.
The library houses manuscripts of Winnie-the-Pooh, Ludwig Wittgenstein's notebooks, and an eighth-century version of the Pauline Epistles in its collection.
