Flixton Road Mill, Tower mill and Grade II listed building in Bungay, England.

Flixton Road Mill is a six-story tower mill with a boat-shaped cap that displays typical 19th-century milling architecture. The building features four Patent sails and three pairs of millstones for grinding, plus an auxiliary engine that provided extra power.

The mill was built in 1830 and operated for many years until a lightning strike caused damage in 1918. Following that event, one floor was removed and the building was adapted for new use.

The miller was a key figure in Suffolk's rural community, and this place shows how such craftspeople shaped daily life in the area. The mill reflects the connection between work, craft, and local prosperity that existed for centuries.

The building is visible from outside and clearly shows the structure of a historic mill that is easy to spot. Its location in Bungay makes it straightforward to reach and locate.

A platform at the second floor level served as a working area for operating the wind-powered grinding mechanisms. This setup shows how millers practically used the space for their daily work.
