Hensol Castle, Grade I listed mansion in Pendoylan, Wales.
The Gothic Revival mansion features castellated walls, a classical interior design, and stands within landscaped grounds near the River Ely.
The Jenkins family estate from 1419 became home to judge David Jenkins, who opposed Parliament during the English Civil War in the 1600s.
William Talbot expanded the structure in 1735 by adding east and west wings to the original south range at a cost of 60,000 pounds.
The castle functions as a conference and wedding venue within The Vale Resort, offering event spaces in a historical Welsh setting.
The building served as a mental health facility for Glamorgan County Council through much of the 20th century until its closure in 2003.
