Hills House, Denham, Grade II* listed house in Denham, England
Hills House is a red brick residence with four alternating gables and traditional architectural features across three floors. It preserves original details including brick bands, carved brackets, and an oak staircase throughout its interior.
The residence gained prominence in the 1930s when film producer Alexander Korda acquired it and established Denham Film Studios nearby. These studios shaped the region until they were later transformed into parkland.
Actor Sir John Mills lived here from 1975, marked by a Heritage Foundation plaque on the exterior. The house reflects Denham's connection to the British film industry during the mid-20th century.
The house is accessed from the street and its traditional features are visible from the exterior. The commemorative plaque on the front is an easy reference point when locating the property.
The property sits near the former Denham Film Studios site, now transformed into The Fisheries park. This proximity reveals how the residence connects to a larger story of industrial heritage shifting toward recreation.
