Warfield Hall, English country house in Warfield, England.
Warfield Hall is an English country house in Berkshire with painted render walls and low pitched slate roofs hidden behind parapets. The three-story building contains ten bedrooms, stables, and extensive grounds with paddocks, an orangery, and a two-acre lake within a wooded park setting.
The house was built in the 1730s for the Hart family and suffered a major fire, after which it underwent extensive reconstruction in the 1870s. Additional modifications in the early 20th century shaped it into its present form.
The drawing room shows fine craftsmanship with its ornate plaster ceiling decorated with garlands, paired with a Corinthian fireplace that displays detailed moldings. The space reflects the taste and wealth of the families who lived there.
The grounds are accessible on foot, allowing you to explore the classical sash windows and the outdoor park area. The wooded setting offers plenty of space to wander and view the lake and orangery from outside.
Field Marshal Sir Charles Brownlow lived here after marrying Georgina King in 1890, linking the property to military history. It later served as a filming location for 'The Eagle Has Landed' in 1975, making it of interest to film enthusiasts.
