Browne's Folly, Folly tower in Monkton Farleigh, England.
The square stone tower stands on Farleigh Rise, featuring round-arched openings at its upper level and an internal spiral staircase reaching the top.
Colonel Wade Browne constructed this tower in 1845 to provide employment opportunities during an agricultural recession, replacing a former semaphore tower.
The structure appears on the unofficial coat of arms of Bathford Parish Council, representing its role as a local architectural symbol.
The Folly Fellowship maintains the tower since 1998, with the structure remaining open to visitors despite the staircase lacking handrails.
The tower sits within a protected area that houses nine orchid species and serves as a habitat for Greater Horseshoe Bats.
