Parish Church of St Tanwg

The rectangular stone structure of St Tanwg Church stands near the coast, measuring 57 feet in length and 23 feet in width with local rubble stonework.

The church contains inscribed stones from the 6th century, suggesting religious activities at the site possibly connected to Saint Patrick around 453 AD.

The building features architectural elements from different periods, including a tall east window and modifications marked by carved initials REP from 1685.

Located 20 meters from St George's Channel's high water mark, the church maintains regular services and welcomes visitors throughout the year.

Sand accumulation in the churchyard has partially buried numerous graves, while the structure itself required an £80 re-roofing project in 1884.
