Barnham Court, Grade I listed building in Barnham and Eastergate, England

The three-story red brick mansion stands with two Doric pilasters, three Dutch gables, and elegant windows overlooking the surrounding countryside of West Sussex.

Built between 1630 and 1650 for the Shelley family of Michelgrove, the mansion later transferred to William Morley in 1686 and subsequently to the Duke of Richmond.

The architectural style mirrors elements of Kew Palace in London, suggesting shared craftsmanship and design influences from the same period of English construction.

The residence contains five bedrooms, dry cellars with Tudor arches, and measures 40 feet 6 inches by 36 feet 6 inches above a basement level.

The mansion features a spiral staircase specifically positioned to channel natural light through windows into the interior living spaces of the building.
