Church of St Michael and All Angels, Great Torrington

The Church of St Michael and All Angels is a parish church in Great Torrington featuring a tower with eight bells cast by Abraham Rudhall in the 18th century. Inside, the building contains historical monuments, architectural detailing typical of English churches, and a notable organ.

The building was severely damaged in 1646 during the Battle of Torrington when an explosion of stored gunpowder destroyed the bell tower. Reconstruction was completed by 1651, restoring the church to serve the community.
