The Green Man And Black's Head Hotel, Attached Inn Sign Bridging Road, Grade II listed hotel and pub in Ashbourne, England

The Green Man and Black's Head Hotel stands on St John Street with a long entrance sign bridging across the road from 1825.

Built in the 1750s for coaching trade, the establishment expanded in the 1820s by merging with the neighboring Blackmoor's Head Inn.

The hotel serves as a central point for the annual Royal Shrovetide Football match, displaying a roll of honor listing players since the 1800s.

Following extensive renovations that preserved its historical features, the hotel reopened in 2018 to provide accommodation and dining services in central Ashbourne.

An elephant weighing 7.5 tons named Mademoiselle d'Jacque stayed at the Green Man during its British tour in 1830.
