The Church of St Mary is a Gothic Revival church in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, built from squared limestone blocks with careful stone detailing. A west tower topped by a pointed spire marks the building from a distance, and inside there is a three-aisled nave with side passages.
George Edmund Street, a well-known architect of his time, designed and built this church between 1855 and 1857. He looked to Gothic churches of the 13th century as his reference, which shaped the overall form of the building.
