Johnstone Castle, Category B listed tower house in Johnstone, Scotland.

The castle features a three-story main block with a Gothic tower wing that rises one level higher than the primary structure.

Built in 1560, the castle belonged to the Houstons of Milliken who acquired the Easter Cochrane estate in 1773 and expanded it in 1812.

The castle received composer Frederic Chopin in 1848, during which he experienced a carriage accident but emerged without injuries.

While the castle interior remains private, visitors can observe the structure from surrounding streets and read information boards about its history.

The medieval tower stands among modern terraced houses, following the demolition of most original buildings in 1950 for residential development.
