Guards Memorial, War memorial at Horse Guards Road, United Kingdom
The Guards Memorial features an imposing white Portland stone obelisk with five bronze sculptures representing different Foot Guards Regiments on its eastern platform.
The memorial was unveiled in 1926 by Field Marshal Prince Arthur to commemorate the Guards Division members who died during World War I.
The bronze figures represent actual serving guardsmen from each regiment, including Sergeant Bradshaw, Lance Corporal Richardson, and Guardsmen McDonald, McCarthy, and Comley.
Located in Westminster, the Grade I listed memorial stands 38 feet high and includes wheelchair access for visitors exploring the historically significant structure.
The bronze components of the memorial were created by melting down German guns captured during the First World War.
