St Peter's Hospital, Former hospital in Covent Garden, London
The Grade II listed building at 25-29 Henrietta Street features architectural elements of the Queen Anne style with a symmetrical facade and large windows.
The medical facility opened in 1860 at Great Marylebone Street before moving to a new building in Henrietta Street, which Prince Leopold inaugurated in 1882.
The structure represents the evolution of Victorian medical institutions, with its design incorporating provisions for future conversion into residential spaces.
The building stands within walking distance of Covent Garden Underground station and maintains its original external architectural features from the 19th century.
The hospital merged with St Paul's Hospital to form the Institute of Urology, later joining with St Philip's Hospital to create what people called 'the three Ps'.
