Killigarth is a two-story granite manor house in Polperro with a slate roof and three connected ranges. An entrance tower topped with a pyramid slate roof and granite windows featuring Ionic scroll details mark its architectural form.
The manor was built in 1872 but incorporates materials from an earlier structure dating to 1662. A datestone and dressed stones from the original building remain visible in the current structure.
The manor holds architectural importance through its blend of historical elements, including granite windows with Ionic volutes and a square tower with rusticated quoins.
The manor now operates as holiday accommodation within a caravan park, allowing access to Talland Bay nearby. Visitors can explore the coastal landscapes and beaches surrounding the area easily from this location.
The south-facing elevation features a square tower with a blocked entrance framed by an unusual three-centered chamfered arch and rusticated stone corners. This distinctive stonework detail is quite rare and adds visual interest to the building.
