Hornsea Wind Farms, Offshore wind farm cluster in North Sea, United Kingdom

The Hornsea Wind Farms consist of multiple offshore installations spanning 462 square kilometers in the North Sea, generating renewable energy through 174 turbines.

In 2019, Hornsea 1 became operational as the first offshore wind farm to surpass 1 GW capacity, followed by Hornsea 2 in August 2022.

The wind farms represent a transformation in British energy production, with the East Coast Hub in Grimsby employing 600 local technicians and staff members.

Located 120 kilometers from Yorkshire's coast, the installations generate sufficient electricity to power over 2.4 million homes across the United Kingdom.

Each wind turbine reaches 190 meters in height with 75-meter blades, generating enough power in one rotation to supply a house for 24 hours.
