The Market House, Grade II listed municipal building in Tring, England
The Market House is a Tudor Revival structure with arcaded ground floor sections facing both High Street and Akeman Street. The retail space on the lower level sells homeware products from over 60 different brands.
The structure was built in 1898 to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, replacing an earlier 17th-century market house that stood in Church Yard. Local investors, including the Rothschild family, helped fund the project.
The building serves as a gathering place for local government meetings and houses municipal offices upstairs.
The building sits centrally on High Street and is easily reached on foot. The retail area on the ground floor is accessible during normal shopping hours.
