Meeker County, Administrative division in central Minnesota, United States

Meeker County spans 645 square miles of rolling hills, wooded areas, and numerous lakes across central Minnesota's landscape.

The establishment of Meeker County occurred on February 23, 1856, named after Bradley B. Meeker, an associate justice of Minnesota Territorial Court.

The Grand Army of the Republic Hall in Litchfield preserves the military and social heritage of Meeker County's early residents.

Residents access county services through the administrative center in Litchfield, which manages property taxes, employment opportunities, and facility reservations.

The Dakota War of 1862 began in Meeker County's Acton township, following an incident that transformed Minnesota's territorial period.
