Mount Princeton, Mountain summit in Chaffee County, Colorado

The mountain received its name in honor of Princeton University in 1873, with William Libbey completing the first documented ascent in 1877.
Mount Princeton stands among several peaks in the Sawatch Range that exceed 14,000 feet, forming part of Colorado's mountaineering destinations.
The East Slopes route to the summit involves class 2 terrain, requiring proper equipment and careful attention to rapidly changing weather conditions.
The mountain elevates 7,000 feet from the Arkansas River valley across just 6 miles, creating a steep geological formation in the landscape.
