Construction began in late 2007 and the stadium opened in spring 2009 for its first season. Since then it has served as the home venue for the local baseball team.
The stadium hosts the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball team, functioning as a Minor League Baseball High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
