Robert M. LaFollette House, Late Victorian residence in Maple Bluff, United States.

The Robert M. LaFollette House is a two-story brick residence with Victorian elements located on Lakewood Boulevard in Wisconsin. The structure features a projecting bay topped with a mansard roof, characteristic of late 1800s and early 1900s residential design.

The house was built in 1905 and served as the home of Robert M. La Follette, a major Wisconsin governor and U.S. Senator, until his death in 1925. His residence here coincided with an era when progressive politics drove reforms across America.

The house reflects the progressive movement of the early 1900s, when La Follette fought for workers' rights and railroad industry regulation. The family used this place to exchange ideas and build political networks that would shape the nation.

The property sits in the Maple Bluff neighborhood near Madison and is accessible on foot from surrounding streets. Visitors should note that access and tours may be limited, so planning ahead helps ensure you can view the site properly.

The property originally encompassed a much larger plot but was significantly reduced over the decades. Despite this change, the place retains the character of a wealthy residence from the Progressive Era.
