Friend-Hack House, Historical residence in Milan, Michigan.

The Friend-Hack House stands at 775 County Street with clapboard siding, decorative kingposts under gables, and extensive verandahs along the main structure.

The property was constructed after Olive Friend relocated to Milan following the dissolution of the Electric Sugar Refining Company and her husband's death in 1888.

The building now functions as the Hack House Museum, preserving local heritage through exhibits that document the history of Milan and its residents.

The property includes multiple original structures such as a wash house, outhouse, carriage house, stable, and chicken coop across its 1.3-acre grounds.

William Henry Hack acquired ownership of the house from his niece Olive, leading to its current name and establishing a connection to both Friend and Hack families.
