The Elms, Queen Anne style residence in Franklin, United States

The Elms features a central block with a hipped roof, complemented by a pedimented gable end and a three-story turret with a conical roof.

Built in 1898 for Paul D. Camp, founder of Camp Manufacturing Company, The Elms received National Register of Historic Places recognition in September 1982.

The architectural design combines elements of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival styles, representing the residential preferences of late nineteenth-century Virginia society.

Situated on 11 acres of land at Clay Street in Franklin, Virginia, The Elms maintains its function as a private residential property.

The structure retains its original decorative iron cresting on the roof, demonstrating the advanced metalworking techniques of the late 1800s.
