Danforth Museum, Art museum in Framingham, United States
The Danforth Museum maintains a permanent collection of American art from the nineteenth century to present day at its Vernon Street location.
Founded in 1975 by local activists, business owners, and educators, the museum started as a community initiative to promote art education in Massachusetts.
The museum organizes regular exhibitions featuring works by contemporary artists while providing studio art classes for children and adults throughout the year.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 PM, with adult admission at 7 dollars and free entry for children under 13.
Located on the second floor of its building, the museum shares space with an art school that occupies the third floor of the facility.
