Hills beach, New South Wales

Hills Beach is a sandy beach along Korora Bay near Coffs Harbour that spans roughly 600 meters of coastline. The shoreline has steep banks, and a small creek flows through the southern part of the beach.

The Hill family established a farm behind the beach in 1923 and operated a golf course on the property during the 1920s and 1930s. The location later became a public recreation area.

In the 1950s, the Ex-Services Club organized Christmas celebrations at Hills Beach, gathering over 1,000 people for community festivities.

The beach is accessed via Norman Hill Drive, where a public reserve provides barbecue areas, showers, and toilet facilities. A children's playground is available for families visiting the beach.

A sandy tombolo extends from the southern section toward rocks offshore, while Pine Brush Creek creates a seasonal water passage to the ocean. These natural features form tidal pools and rock formations worth exploring.
