Palace Museum North Branch

The Palace Museum North Branch spans 102,000 square meters, featuring exhibition halls, restoration facilities, and cultural relics storage in Haidian District, Beijing.

The Palace Museum, established in 1925 after the last emperor's departure, expanded its preservation mission through this northern facility to protect Chinese imperial heritage.

The institution maintains specialized areas for digital cultural communications and houses extensive collections of Chinese imperial artifacts from the Ming and Qing dynasties.

The museum complex includes 33,378 square meters of exhibition space and 25,302 square meters of storage facilities for preserving historical artifacts.

The building incorporates advanced waterproof materials and specialized concrete in its basement structure to ensure maximum protection of cultural treasures.
