Kokotská studánka, Spring box in Bušovice, Czech Republic
Kokotská studánka is a spring box located beneath Kokotsko hill at 438 meters elevation, delivering fresh water throughout the year. The facility taps water directly from the hillside, serving both local residents and passing visitors.
The spring underwent quality improvements in 2013 after earlier periods when water failed to meet drinking standards. This renovation restored the water supply to reliable drinking condition.
The name comes from the Old Czech word for rooster, connecting the spring to the surrounding Kokotský forest and its local naming traditions.
Parking is available on the road just a short walk from the spring box, making it easy to collect water in containers year-round. The site is straightforward to find and access without special equipment or guides.
The spring serves as a starting point for a nature trail with eleven educational stops leading to the nearby Kokotské ponds. This route allows visitors to explore the surrounding ecosystem beyond just collecting water.
