The museum holds 950 paintings that represent major German artistic movements of the 19th century, including works from the Romantic and Impressionist periods.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, with extended hours until 20:00 on Tuesdays, and remains closed on Mondays.
This institution maintains the largest collection of Carl Spitzweg works globally, comprising 160 paintings and 110 drawings by the German artist.
