Schauwerk Sindelfingen

Schauwerk Sindelfingen is a contemporary art museum housed in a converted industrial building near Stuttgart with exhibition spaces spanning multiple floors. The structure retains its original character while now serving as a venue for modern artworks.

The Schaufler Foundation established the museum in 2010 by repurposing a former industrial building near Stuttgart. This conversion created a new venue for contemporary art presentation in the region.

The museum displays works by artists from the region and around the world through rotating exhibitions that reflect current artistic practice. Visitors experience how contemporary creators explore today's themes and employ diverse techniques.

The museum opens several days per week and allows ample time for exploring exhibitions in a manageable building layout. Plan to spend two to three hours at minimum to view the works at a relaxed pace.

The museum creatively uses its formerly industrial space, with visible pipes and sturdy structural elements complementing rather than hiding the modern art. This blend of industrial heritage and art presentation creates an unusual exhibition environment.
