Monsterpark Rattelsdorf

Monsterpark Rattelsdorf is an outdoor facility where visitors can explore and operate more than 150 construction machines, from small excavators to large loaders. The site features various stations where you can get hands-on with the equipment and learn how it works.

The park was established in 2005 when someone expressed the wish to operate construction machines firsthand. Founder Gerhard Seibold turned this idea into reality and developed the site into a popular destination.

The park's name comes from the giant machines that visitors encounter and operate here themselves. This chance to work with real construction equipment creates an experience that is hard to find anywhere else.

Children as young as 5 can operate small excavators at designated stations, while adults also have access to heavier machinery. If you want to drive larger equipment, it is worth checking in advance what is available for your group.

The site also displays historical construction machines like the Menck M 4 steam excavator from 1927, which is among its oldest pieces. These machines are not merely for viewing but give visitors insight into how building technology developed over many decades.
