St.-Marien-Kirche, Medieval church in Waase, Germany.

The St.-Marien-Kirche features narrow side aisles without windows, receiving natural light through band-shaped clerestory windows in the central nave.

First documented in 1322 as Ecclesia Omanz, the church was later placed under the administration of the Holy Spirit Hospital in Stralsund in 1341.

The church contains an Antwerp altarpiece from 1520, displaying scenes from the Passion of Christ and the life of Thomas Becket.

The church stands as the sole religious building on Ummanz island, serving the Protestant parish community of Gingst.

The church structure combines oak timber framing with brick infill in its arcade and high walls, dated through dendrochronology to 1381.
