Eisenhammer Hasloch, Historical hammer mill in Hasloch, Germany.
Two massive water-powered hammers, weighing 170 kg and 135 kg, operate in this industrial facility to shape heated iron pieces.
The hammer mill began operations on March 24, 1779, when the Counts of Löwenstein-Wertheim granted brothers Tobias and Johann-Heinrich Wenzel permission to establish it.
The facility maintains traditional blacksmithing methods, demonstrating the production techniques that were common throughout the Spessart region in past centuries.
The museum opens Wednesday through Sunday from March to October, 10:00 to 16:00, with reduced hours in November and winter closure from December to February.
The forge produces 40,000 to 50,000 plowshares annually using water-powered equipment, maintaining manufacturing methods from the 18th century.
