Schollener See

Schollener See is a shallow inland lake surrounded by extensive wetland zones that form part of the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve in Saxony-Anhalt. The water body is fringed with reeds and marshy vegetation that define its natural character.

The lake was designated as a protected area in 1967 to safeguard its natural habitats. This protected status was an early conservation effort in the Stendal district.
