Theater das Zimmer occupies a converted retail space of 50 square meters with 40 seats, creating direct performer-audience interaction without curtains or stage barriers.

The theater opened its doors in October 2014, transforming a former retail store in Washingtonallee into Hamburg's smallest private performance venue.

The venue presents classical theater forms, modern chamber plays, musicals, and comedies, supporting both established productions and emerging local talent.

Located at Washingtonallee 42, the theater offers regular performances with general admission tickets at 22 euros and reduced prices at 15 euros.

The theater received the Barbara Kisseler Prize in 2022 and developed HORN TO GO, a theatrical neighborhood walk nominated three times for Hamburg's district culture award.
