Alte Kirche, Late Gothic church in Coswig, Germany.
The stone church features a Renaissance tower with a single-handed clock and large arched windows illuminating its richly decorated interior spaces.
Built with funding from Nicol von Karras and consecrated in 1497, the church underwent substantial modifications between 1611 and 1612, including raising the nave ceiling.
The interior galleries display 18 detailed paintings depicting the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus, while the coffered ceiling presents the Twelve Apostles.
Located at Ravensburger Platz 50 in Coswig, the church stands 150 meters from the Zentrum/Börse public transport stop and 400 meters from Coswig train station.
The church houses the oldest organ in Saxony, dating from 1615 or 1624, which underwent restoration work by Kristian Wegscheider in 1998.
