Berlebach

Berlebach is a wooden tripod and monopod maker in Mulda that serves photographers, telescope users, and surveying professionals. The workshop produces these tools to strict precision standards using mostly ash wood with minimal metal components.

Peter Otto Berlebach started this workshop in 1898 as a specialist maker of tripods. After World War Two, the business continued under East German control as VEB Foto-Kino-Zubehör from 1972 to 1990, then returned to independent operation.

The woodworking here brings together traditional craftsmanship with the demands of modern equipment manufacturing. Visitors see a workshop where handmade care and precision work together in production.
